What follows is my review of The Wolfman.

It’s not a terrible movie, it’s even enjoyable… if you go in with the right attitude. I wasn’t expecting a blockbuster, or even a great plot. I just wanted to waste a Saturday and be entertained, and I was.

All the actors pulled their weight nicely, with what they had to work with. I heard a rumor that there was a director switch halfway through the movie, and it shows. There’s a point where the theme and mood of the movie seems to just change, and it’s a little jarring.

Oddly, the thing that really “wowed” me was the scenery and cinematography. I loved the shots of Talbot manor, and the old English town, and the countryside.

Not bad, not bad. Still need to see Shutter Island.

  1. That’s pretty much the nicest review of Wolfman I’ve heard.

    Also, holy shit on the gun. I knew something roguish was coming, but this I did not expect.

  2. How did I know a hookshot would be involved? How? x_X;

  3. @Apachama – I usually like most movies I see. When I watch a movie, I naturally pick out the good things and hook my claws into it. The Wolfman did have a few good things, and that alone allowed me to enjoy it.

    @Crow – Because all good things in this world emulate Zelda! Haha!

  4. $5 says that someone loses an eye or gets horribly……horribly….horribly impaled with the hook gun…….On a lighter note…..WHERE THE CRAP DID HE GET A HOOK GUN?…..I’ve always wanted to have a overly dangerous and fun to play with Hook Gun…and he just like….pulls one outta nowhere…….its not fair!….just….not fair….
